ParenTIN.tv turns 2: Two years of Mommy Online Interactive Community

Purple Plum Fairy was recently invited to an exclusive bloggers-only affair as ParenTIN.tv celebrates its 2nd anniversary. Time really does fly so fast especially when you’re having fun. It only seemed like yesterday when it was launched. I am proud to say that I had been one of its pioneer members. Now, parenTIN.tv had about 40 parenting episodes, 11 successful events and more than 2,000 members on the website!
Ms. Tintin Bersola welcomes mommy bloggers and members.

For those who have not heard yet of this wonderful website, parenTIN.tv is the first-of-its kind, local parenting webshow in the country. Envisioned by multi-awarded celebrity host and mompreneur, Christine Bersola-Babao. It is a cutting edge concept that combines a dynamic website and a 30-minute bi-weekly parenting program.

Registered members of ParenTIN.tv can avail of “free” online consultation with doctors, teachers, professionals, and other experts. Mommies can also share with other parents in this growing online community. ParenTIN.tv remains eager and enthusiastic to share parenting lessons, make friends and touch lives.

Like I’ve said earlier, I’ve been an active member of ParenTIN.tv ever since it was launched. I was able to learn a lot of things about parenting from the site and was able to gain new friends as well. The good news is: families all over the Philippines can now watch parenTIN.tv episodes on the Knowledge Channel, Skycable Channel 42. The schedule of airing is Sundays at 8PM, Mondays at 7:20PM, on Wednesdays at 8:40PM and Saturdays at 9AM, 2PM and 9PM. Topics ranges from conception to giving birth, to developmental milestones, toddler tips and more celebrity interviews!

During the event, winners of the parenTIN.tv toddler photo contest and Online Quiz winners were awarded. There were also talks on how to prevent Internet addiction. I’d like to think it’s prevalent nowadays. I had not been fully aware of such addiction so I really am grateful it had been discussed well by guest speaker, Ms. Vanessa Garon of The Nazareth Formation House and Golden Values School. I could somehow relate with it, not because I’m a computer-addict but because I am afraid Kyle might become one someday. (Hopefully not! I am crossing my fingers!) Kyle knows how to navigate the Internet and use the computer. He has his own email and Facebook account. He even knows which sites he could download his preferred games. I sometimes get peeved with Kyle when I am online blogging because he wants to use my PC to play games. Now, I am trying my best to make sure I limit Kyle’s time online.

We were also lucky to hear from Ms. Zonito Torevillas-Tamase about the right way to choose healthier foods and water alkalinity. We also toured the Eastwood Richmonde Hotel and were able to eat sumptuous buffet meals especially prepared for members of the parenTIN.tv by the resident chef.

ParenTIN.tv has an online promo that gives enterprising moms out there an opportunity to win a free booth at the Grand International Importers and Exporters Christmas Bazaar in World Trade Center-Hall A from November 11-20, 2011, by just turning in a successful referral. The value of the booth is P60,000 and two winning moms or dads can share it to sell wares this Christmas.

Truly, it was indeed a wonderful day as attendees filled our heads with useful information and our stomach with good food. It feels great to be a part of this online community where each member’s like a family. I’m also happy to know that Ms. Tintin Bersola-Babao is now back to hosting a morning show called Kumare Klub along with Ms. Amy Perez and Ms. Chiqui Roa-Puno. Catch Ms. Tintin Bersoal-Babao at Kumare Klub, from Mondays to Fridays aired 7AM-8AM on TV5. Congratulations to ParenTIN.tv and to Ms. Tintin Bersola-Babao!
