Resorts World Manila (RWM), Marriott Hotel Manila, and Megaworld Lifestyle Malls, together with Philippine Airlines and Garuda Foods today hosted a free screening of ‘From the Heart (Galing Sa Puso)’ at Cinema 2 of Newport Cinemas.

 The movie screening was for child beneficiaries who were invited to walk down the red carpet instead of celebrities and dignitaries that commonly attend these high-profile engagements. As part of the foundation’s “Charity Movie for the Unfortunate” program, the young recipients were accorded VIP treatment throughout the event.

The documentary follows the inspiring journey of Natalie Tjahja, founder of the Maria Monique Last Wish Foundation, as she fulfils the last wish of her daughter to reach out and help underprivileged children all over the world.

LIFE ROCKS CONCERT SERIES: VOL. 1 (A Beneficiary Concert) on October 23, 2014!

AVA Prime Media & Events invites you to LIFE ROCKS -  a concert series that aims to contribute to the continuing efforts in rebuilding the lives of our incapacitated brothers and sisters across the country. You can expect none other than the best of the Philippine music scene in their most moving, collaborative performances. This is a concert of mixed music of classics by the Manila Symphony Orchestra and rock by a blend of old and new artists.  

In partnership with the Philippine Life Insurance Association, the first staging of LIFE 

ROCKS is on October 23, 2014 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, Resorts 

World Manila; featuring Imago, Sandwich, Radioactive Sago Project, Tres Marias, Razorback, Megan Aguilar, Ebe Dancel, and Marc Abaya -—all collaborating with the Manila Symphony Orchestra. 

PLIA is a co-producer with AVA Prime for this concert whose beneficiary will be orphaned children of Typhoon Yolanda and other calamities.  This concert aims to promote the value of life insurance in preparing for life’s uncertainties.

In line with the theme of disaster preparedness and response, PLIA  entered into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Couples for Christ BCOP-ANCOP (Building the Church of the Poor-Answering the Cry of the Poor) for the donation of a scholarship fund to finance ten High School students from the Typhoon Yolanda affected communities in Leyte for the school year 2015-2016.

Proceeds shall be for the scholarship of those who have been orphaned by calamities that ravaged the country. The selection process shall be via the institutional partnership with Museo Pambata and the scholarship program of the Manila Symphony Orchestra. A documentary will follow the stories of the beneficiaries for one year.

LIFE ROCKS is the first of many events that comprises the launch and advocacy of the upcoming music lifestyle show -—THE LINEUP -—which begins airing November 2014. The producers will make a formal reveal on which network it will air in the coming weeks. THE LINEUP is an original AVA Prime creation.

Hi-5 LIVE IN MANILA: HI-5 HOUSE HITS CONCERT AT NEWPORT PERFORMING ARTS THEATER, RESORTS WORLD MANILA IN DECEMBER!

They've wowed children from all parts of the globe. I bet you've probably memorized at least one or two of their songs without really meaning to--they've conquered the hearts of kids and those kids-at-heart too. Admit it, your kids are fans (and could also be addicted to) of Hi-5! Yes folks, Hi-5--the popular group from the well-loved children's show from Australia composed of five awesome individuals will be back in the Philippines this December in time for the holiday season! Now, don't be surprised now to hear very young Filipino pre-schoolers imitating an Australian accent--that's because they've been fans of Hi-5. Kyle, who's now eleven may be too old for Hi-5, so he had passed on the habit of watching Hi-5 to younger sister Icy who just turned seven. Both kids love the Hi-5 gang as well as Jup Jup, the lovely purple character from the Australian children's TV show. In fact, as a mom, I think I owe a lot to the Hi-5 gang (as well as the production behind it) for helping a lot of kids learn from their TV show. Well, I believe you can't really be old enough to love Hi-5. I even had the chance to have my picture taken with them and be part of the group. (I became one of the Hi-5 since there were only four of them at the time of the presscon).
