Olay Age Defying with Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Gel Product Review

It is important to care for the biggest organ in our body--our skin.
I’m not exactly someone who can be considered as a beauty junkie although admittedly I’ve got a lot of skincare products that I’d try from time to time. I’m not so much into makeup and cosmetics, but having clear skin is an essential part of me. I’d get panic when I’d get a small zit here and there. Thank God for my good genes, pimple breakouts, and cystic acne isn’t part of my worries. Although I do have sensitive dry skin, I’m not afraid to try new skincare products, especially when it’s from branded ones—products that my family has trusted for years like Olay. I recently had the privilege of trying this exciting Olay product called Olay Age Defying with Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Gel beauty jar.

Skin Can Tell Relief and Repair Lotion Product Review

My skin is very important to me because it is my largest organ.

People who knew me personally can attest that I probably have one of the roughest dry hands you’ll ever touch. It’s been a problem for me since time immemorial the very reason why I hate holding other people’s hands during Sunday masses [when Catholics pray The Lord’s Prayer, we hold hands with strangers]. I tried using branded ones as well as unknown hand creams and skin lotions hoping my dry hands would be able to find something that would end my dry hands misery, but to no avail. That’s why I’m very fussy when it comes to the products I use as I hate anything that leaves you feeling greasy [as most lotion or hand creams would actually do], but at the same time, I want my dry hands to become moisturized without the greasy after feel.

I was recently given a product by my good friend Alma Rivera. She is a distributor of these products from this brand called Skin Can Tell. She said it was owned by a Filipina who works for ABS-CBN. Alma and I had crossed paths while we were both brainstormers for the said network’s concept development group way back in 2004. Anyway, going back to the product that Alma has been raving about, she gave me and my boyfriend, Jason sample mini tube sizes of Skin Can Tell Relief and Repair Lotion. The product claims to relieve stress and muscle aches, fights body acne problems and helps moisturize the skin.

Latisha Professional Formula Niacinamide Vitamin B3 5% Serum Product Review

I was a bit hesitant at first when I learned that I will be reviewing a new skincare product for my face. I have a confession to make: Although I am skincare junkie, I’m a bit lazy putting on sunscreen lotion. So at my age, I knew that the early signs of aging are probably screaming on my face—crow’s feet, laugh lines—name it, I probably have them all. And upon learning that Latisha Professional Formula Niacinamide Vitamin B with 5% Serum(the product in which I’d be reviewing) has anti-aging properties, I decided to give it a go.

Lightens skin, helps remove dark spots, reduces fine lines.

Niacinamide suppresses melanin from reaching the surface of the skin and protects the skin from further UV damage too much melanin can result in age spots, freckles and hyperpigmentation. 5% niacinamide when applied to skin for 12 weeks results in the reduction of fine lines, wrinkles and age spots. It also improves elasticity and gives an overall lighter skin complexion.

I would often have a pimple when I use new products but not with Latisha Serum

Use after toner, apply the serum with fingertips on face and neck. Once it is quickly absorbed, follow with a moisturizer. Wear sunscreen, it is equally important. My dermatologist said it is considered a “mortal sin” for anyone to go out without wearing or putting on a sunblock or sunscreen. In fact, some people, even within indoors, they still put on sunscreen. This is especially true since we’re no longer as young as we once were. As a certified Titas of Manila, we need to give our skin some TLC before they wrinkled and sagged.

How Niacinamide Helps Skin

I'm no skin expert. But based solely on experience, niacinamide is an ingredient worthy of your attention and your skin will love you for using it. Among a handful of other amazing skincare ingredients such as retinol and vitamin C, Latisha Niacinamide Serum is a standout because of its versatility for almost any skin care concern and skin type.

Latisha Niacinamide Serum

The conclusions about niacinamide are based on what the published research has shown to be true—and the research about niacinamide unanimously demonstrates how special it is. In fact, second to retinol and vitamin C, it’s one of the most exciting skincare ingredients around!

I was so ecstatic when I received my Welcome Gift Box from Althea Korea as they officially welcomed me as one of their new Althea Angels. Woot! I’m officially an Althea Angel! Before I could see some raised eyebrows, let me clarify that I’ve been known in the blogosphere as a lifestyle blogger more than a beauty blogger. Asian Magic Cream vs Egyptian Magic Cream Product Review

Asian Magic Cream and Egyptian Magic Creams

I have been an avid fan of moisturizers because I really have dry to almost dehydrated skin. However, I make sure that before I use any particular product, I would consult my dermatologist first to assure me it’s going to be safe for me to use and had no harmful substances that may affect my sensitive skin. I recently discovered two so-called “magic creams” that may have been made available in the market for years but I wasn’t aware yet until now. I am referring to the Asian Magic Cream and the Egyptian Magic Cream. Both had their own cult following already and I figured it would be nice and interesting to write a product review comparing both magic cream products. So, here’s my two cents on these two awesome beauty magic creams and check it out yourself if you’ve also had the same experiences as I do. Read on…

Asian Magic Cream
I am honestly pretty amazed at how useful both magic creams are. Perhaps it’s the very reason why they were called as such, because they both seemed to work like “magic.” In essence, let me share with you the things I had discovered using both products. I’ve used one product in a month and then the other the next month after. So it actually took a pretty long time before I was able to write a comparison between the two. Allow me to share with you what I have discovered on the many uses of these two magic creams.

PowerClean Chemicals by Oxychem Product Review: Effectively cleans and affordable high quality cleaning product

;

Cleaning dirt from clothes can be difficult for working mothers

Whether you go with old-school bleach or earth-conscious bi-carb soda, finding a surface cleaner as well as trusted household cleaning materials  that actually produce satisfying results can really be difficult. Fact is, sorting through shelves bulging with big claims and cool packaging of cleaning products in the market today, it’s revealed that price is rarely an indicator of its performance.

Coming home and seeing all these kitchen mess seems like hell right?
I spend a lot of time in the kitchen (I think we all do) but sometimes cleaning up can feel like a chore. We also don’t have a dishwasher, since I am forever washing dishes. There are a lot of companies that use strong chemicals and detergents in their products that isn’t great for the environment—or your skin. I recently stumbled upon PowerClean Chemicals by Oxychem.

Product Review: Tupperware Brands' Baby Care Plus, Kids Plus and Mom Plus products

2-year-old baby Cerise Millicent Gabriel plays with Tupperware Brands line of products

There are so many baby products available on the market today that it is difficult to know which ones you should use for your little ones. For discriminating moms, since there are a lot of choices, we had to make sure that the products do not have harsh chemicals that shouldn’t touch our baby’s sensitive skin.  I had to learn my lesson the hard way when I used a new baby product for my youngest niece Miles recently where sadly she had developed some rashes on her forehead that looked like prickly heat from afar. It was reddish and itchy that brings discomfort to our baby.

Peppermint Sugar Scrub by Amethy Product Review

Sugar Scrub in Peppermint by Amethy

Mother nature has a cure for almost everything, and many beauty brands are keeping their ingredients list as close to the Earth as possible. Using only certified organic ingredients can be limiting, so not all brands can go that far, but you can take comfort in knowing that Sugar Scrubs by Amethy in particular is one skincare line made of organic and natural ingredients. As consumers become more conscious of ingredient lists and environmental impact, they're increasingly turning toward natural products—even within chemical-heavy beauty aisles. If you want to make the switch to organic or simply to less artificial lotions, cleansers, and creams, this particular brand is one of the best natural skincare lines in the industry. Honestly though, it’s what they don’t use that really counts: Fillers, Parabens, or additives.

I love this rich, moisturizing peppermint sugar body scrub. Unfortunately, exfoliating in the shower can take circus-like stability to avoid slipping on the layer of oil that many body scrubs leave all over the tub. That's why an excellent scrub must have great balance, too: the right ratio of skin-sloughing and moisturizing elements and an amazing fragrance that's not too strong, is energizing, and still relaxing enough to feel like you've stepped into a luxury spa. Sound like a tall order? Fortunately, Sugar Scrubs by Amethy made the cut.

Urbanista Oslo Earpods and Eaphones Product Review

After the earphone I had been using for quite sometime now was literally shelled from its apple green colored cords due to my nephew’s mishandling and improper use, I had been looking for a good quality earphone. So when I stumbled upon Urbanista headphones, I felt ecstatic about it. I’ve got myself a pink Urbanista Oslo earphones and in this product review, let’s see if it can be any good and would they be okay as potential replacement or alternative to my beloved ear buds that needed retirement.

Pantene 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner Product Review

I'm quite adventurous when it comes to my hair. Since I was a kid, I must have tried almost every hairstyle there is: from the boy-cut Demi Moore 'do during her 90's hit film Ghost to apple cut, telephone curly tresses, undercut, long hair, to safe ones like one-length--I seemed to have tried it all at one point in my life. After having finished college, I remember being giddy not only because I was able to received my diploma, but also because I would finally have that freedom to have my hair colored. Being young I never realized having my tresses chemically treated will eventually result to hair damage. Since then, I had been searching for the right product to use that will help my hair gain back its natural shine and softness. I was challenged to use the newly released Pantene Minute Miracle Total Damage Care Conditioner for a product review.

Aqua Mineral From The Dead Sea Product Review: Defy Aging + Giveaway!

At the age of 30, we start to lose collagen and skin elasticity. With the numerous factors to consider such as stress, cigarettes, pollution and other harmful free radicals, the skin gets more and more saggy each time we're exposed to these (sadly, it's almost everyday that we are exposed to these things). Don't fret though, hope is still within reach. We can still defy early signs of aging but only if we use the right skin care products. Have you heard of Aqua Minerals? I'm sure you've probably seen them at the malls  (just as I did) or must have heard about their amazing products because they've been around here in the Philippines for 6 years and had been enjoying the Asian market too in places like HongKong, Japan and Vietnam. Aqua Minerals products are made from the minerals found at the Dead Sea--the same one you read from the Holy Bible, located between Israel and Jordan.

CosmetiGroup International Corporation is the exclusive distributor of Aqua Mineral Beauty Line products. Aqua Mineral beauty line combines both health and beauty benefits with its innovative, patented technology. So even upon instant application, you can feel and see the difference. It rejuvenates the skin and penetrates deeper, not just topical because the seaweed that exists in the dead sea is high in betacarotene.

PH Care Vzone® Bikini Trimmer and Vzone® Bikini Shaver Review: Essential Intimate Grooming Needs

Whenever I go to the beach, I envy all these women I see with perfectly smooth bikini lines, and not a razor bump in sight! I've never liked "hair down there", but I've always had trouble shaving. I could never get close enough for a smooth shave and I suffered from unbelievable razor burn for a week afterwards. The red bumps were more embarrassing than the hair!
I recently stumbled upon new trimming and shaving products specifically made for women. Vzone® by pH Care® Bikini Trimmer and Vzone® by pH Care® Bikini Shaver are intimate grooming essentials and tools to help achieve those smooth, clean and sexy bikini lines.

I once read somewhere that trimming and shaving the bikini area help reduce unwanted odor? By grooming our hair down there, it will also keep our intimate area neat and odor-free. If you're prone to itchy red razor burn bumps, shaving your bikini area can be a big problem. But don't give up. You might be able to get the smooth bikini area you desire just by changing the product that you use. Instead of shaving with a regular razor, you could try a precision bikini trimmer such as  Vzone® by pH Care® Bikini Trimmer. This cuts hair down to a very fine stubble. With practice, you can get it to where it's barely even noticeable. I like the fact that this bikini trimmer has rounded tips to further prevent accidental cuts and since it comes in a shorter handle, you can control it more and have a better grip.

It doesn't matter if you'd want it au natural, neatly trimmed, neatly trimmed but shaved clean along the bikini line or shaved completely (Brazilian)--One things for certain, we all want our pubic area to look sexy for our mate (or potential mate!). But that doesn't always mean you have to be completely clean shaven. Keeping it nicely trimmed can also be sexy.

My two recent product finds does the trick for you. Vzone® by pH Care® Bikini Trimmer and Vzone® by pH Care® Bikini Shaver are every woman's best buddies when it comes to keeping it neat down there. It will trim your bikini area down to a neat stubble without causing razor burn.

The Vzone® by pH Care® Bikini Shaver provides a close shave, it does not irritate skin, and does not usually nick skin. It easily glides over skin and maneuvers well. Plus, it's got a comfortable to hold. What I love best about it is that there's no need to go over areas multiple times to remove hair. When compared to the leading men's disposable razor, I think Vzone® by pH Care® Bikini Shaver performs better. It has an easy grip handle design for better control. The mini-blade is only 5/8" wide which makes it even perfect for bikini areas. Its comb design has a protective skin guard to minimize irritation and it also comes with a soothing Aloe Vera moisture strips.

With Vzone® by pH Care® Bikini Shaver and Vzone® by pH Care® Bikini Trimmer, you can say buh-bye to irritation + itching and ugly razor bumps. Say adieu to burning pain and insatiable itching. Depending on your needs, I would recommend both products I've reviewed above. Decide if you want a close trim or a smooth shave and choose accordingly. Whatever you choose, I would recommend using it on your bikini area at least 3 times a week to maintain a sleek look. It'll be awkward at first but after a while, you'll be an expert!

Vzone® Trimmer and Shaver/Razor are available in Mercury Drugstore, Watsons, 7-Eleven and Rustans and Robinsons** Supermarkets for only P49* (Trimmer) and P99* (Shavers, 3 pcs).

Bibibons Baby Biscuit Review: 2-in-1 Biscuit Nibbler and Cereal for Babies!

I haven't come across any TV ad that has "Bibibons" on it. But I had seen them in supermarket shelves on the baby section and I've always wanted to give it a try for our eight-month-old baby, Cerise Millicent or Miles for short. What has made me interested in Bibibons is the fact that it actually comes as a 2-in1 biscuit--it could be a nibbler and a cereal at the same time for babies 6 to 24 month old. Miles hardly enjoy eating cereals or maybe she was sick and tired of it, so I figured she might like Bibibons.

Interestingly, Bibibons can be a "finger food" for teething babies like Miles. Of course, Mommies would be curious what nutritional benefits does eating Bibibons give, right? The biscuit's box says, it has "DHA and Taurine." Being a meticulous parent, I've researched on what these two nutritional values meant: DHA is an abbreviation of docosahexaenoic acid, which is an omega-3 fatty acid C22H32O2 found especially in fish of cold waters. Taurine, on the other hand is a crystalline acid C2H7NO3S that is synthesized in the body from cysteine and methionine, and is similar to amino acids but is not a component of proteins, and is involved in various physiological functions (as bile acid conjugation and cell membrane stabilization). Now in a simple layman's term, Bibibons contains essential nutritional supplements that play a very significant role in a child's development!

Here's our Baby Miles, 8 months trying to gauge the biscuit on her tiny hands

Aside from DHA and Taurine, Bibibons supports body development (with Vitamin A, Iron and Calcium), supports a healthy immune system (Pantothenic Acid and Vitamin C), Vitamin A, C, D and E, Folic Acid, Iron and other essential nutrients all for baby's proper health development.

And for wise mommies, Bibibons is really a good buy. For one, it costs only Php36.00, much cheaper when compared to other cereals. It's produced by Rebisco Philippines--one of the country's most trusted brands that I personally grew up with. So you can be assured that Bibibons are made from the stringent high standards of the Rebisco company.

Inside a box of Bibibons had six individually wrapped packs. Each pack contains four nibblers, and oh, Bibibons also comes with a FREE small red bowl too! I've tried to taste them myself and that's how I learned that Bibibons indeed tastes good. It wasn't sweet although it smells like milk. Each nibbler is tough enough so that babies can hold it without crumbling fast yet when eaten, it easily melts on babies' mouth.

I'm glad baby Miles liked it. She would put Bibibons on her mouth using her chubby tiny fingers and I'd be entertained simply by watching her eat. Baby Miles would eat Bibibons nibblers biscuit with much gusto. She's such a joy to look at. We were even surprised how she loved Bibibons even when its on its cereal form--to think she didn't liked eating cereals before. Preparing Bibibons as cereal is as easy as 1,2, 3--just add 450ml of water, let is sit for a few minutes and voila! Your baby can enjoy a lovely cereal meal in no time!

So the next time I go to the grocery, I'd definitely be including Bibibons Nibbler and Cereal on my list. Moms love its nutritional benefits while babies love its taste. I'd personally recommend friends who has babies 6-24 months to try it as well. After all, seldom will you find high quality products at an affordable price.

Bibibons Nibbler Biscuit and Cereal are available in the baby section of leading groceries, supermarkets and department stores.

Special thanks to Mommy Blogger Philippines for the opportunity to review this product.
