Chicken had always been a staple on my family's table. We can do away with pork, seafoods (since it's quite expensive) and very seldom do we have beef. Admittedly, it is really poultry products that lords over our everyday meals along with veggies. Regardless of how chicken is cooked--be it simply fried, Afritada, Tinola, curried, Asado, Hainanese, good 'ol Adobo (in various styles)--name it, my family will surely love it. It was one of the worst decisions I have ever made  in my life. Jollibee's Surprise Party

It was indeed another red letter day for all Jollibee Kids Club members, their families and friends as their favorite pal, Jollibee celebrates his birthday surprise party with a big birthday bash held recently at the Philippine International Convention Center Forum.

It is Jollibee's biggest celebration to date in line with fast-food chain's 35th anniversary. There have been lots of games, surprises, cool prizes, interactive activities and special dance numbers and a whole lot more. Kids and those kids at heart enjoyed the entire afternoon despite the heavy rain. The rain poured heavily yet it did not dampen the spirit of those inside the PICC forum. 

There have been live performances by our favorite Jollitown friends and the birthday celebrant was joined by his friends Yum, Hetty, Twirlie and Popo on stage. There was even a short storytelling about the importance of being more appreciative of what we have. Kids were delighted to see Jollibee live, they even kept shouting his name upon seeing him.

TV personality/endorser and Yum ambassador Sam Concepcion also rendered songs during the said event. The best part of the celebration was when 35 selected Jollibee branches nationwide also took part in the celebration via live streaming on the Internet.

I had actually felt touched since I myself had been a Jollibee Kids club member as a kid. I still have my Oath of Membership certificate up to this day hanging on my old study area. I felt proud that I once belonged to this awesome kids' group. And now, I like seeing my dear Kyle enjoying himself as a JKC member too. Well, one never gets old when you're with Jollibee right?
