“I had to admit I missed performing in a concert. The last time I’ve had a major concert was back in 2010. I guess what made me put off performing in concerts for a long while was because of the fact that I had gained weight. I didn’t had the endurance to go dancing while singing, I wasn’t fit enough,” confesses Comedy Concert Queen, Ms. Ai Ai Delas Alas during the press conference for her and Asia’s Nightingale, Ms. Lani Misalucha held at Jet 7’s Bistro recently in line with the promotion of their upcoming concert dubbed as "Ai Meets Lani: Lani May Ai?" to be held at the KIA Theater on September 17, 2016. And for someone who had totally changed her lifestyle (180 degrees from her previous lifestyle) as well as eating habits—Ai Ai is now ready to perform onstage again as she’s back in her ‘fighting form’. She had recently received a lot of compliments after showing off her curves on her official Instagram account where Ai Ai had her photo taken in a two piece swimsuit. At her age, Ai Ai had proven that it’s never too late to lead a healthy lifestyle.

I’m not really into celebrities but because of my job as part of the editorial team of an entertainment portal, Philippine Showbiz Republic (PSR), I was given the opportunity to attend press conferences, blog conferences, and basically get to know more about different showbiz personalities. I recently had the chance to get to know the Philippine comedy queen, Ms. Ai Ai Delas Alas up close and personal. I grew up watching her movies and it’s nice to get to know someone from showbiz who isn’t so full of herself. Despite of all the box office films and achievements she has amassed all these years, Ms. Ai Ai’s really very down-to-earth and easy to talk to. She had just made that ‘big leap’ to GMA 7, but this early, her fans will be happy to know that there are a lot of projects already lined up for her. Starting off with Ms. Ai Ai’s first project under the Kapuso network, the primetime romantic-drama series ‘Let The Love Begin’ which will have its initial telecast on Monday, May 4, after ‘Pari Ko’y’ on GMA 7.
