UnionBank Techs Up with Globe Fleet Management Solutions

The reputation of UnionBank is built on offering clients cutting-edge technologies in digital banking. The bank also continuously works on operational and technological advances that, in the end, benefit the clients. In order to improve the efficiency of its automobile operations, Union Bank of the Philippines (UnionBank) has partnered with Globe Business. A contract signing ceremony held on November 16 at the UnionBank Plaza in Pasig City made the collaboration official.

"We partnered with Globe Business to co-create innovations that are critical to the success of our Digital Transformation Plan as part of our drive to "Tech Up Pilipinas" and be an enabler of the Philippines' push to be a G20 country by 2050, according to Vincent Paul M. Castillo, Vice President, Cash Services Group Head. "Together, we innovated technology derived from our internal and external customers' unique experiences and perspectives."

In accordance with their partnership, Globe Business will provide UnionBank with access to a variety of fleet management solutions. These solutions are supported by Globe's next-generation connectivity and extensive nationwide coverage, which are made possible by the company's thousands of cell towers placed strategically across the country.

The partnership offers a number of advantages, including improved communication between UnionBank's vehicles and their communication hubs, superior internet connectivity for each vehicle to enable better use of appropriate in-vehicle tools and apps, and more robust security measures to safeguard the vehicles and their operators, particularly when driving.

In the long run, the agreement will help UnionBank better serve its clients across various market sectors while making it simpler for its fleet staff and those who work in its bank offices to be more productive, serving the vehicles, to perform their roles more effectively in line with UnionBank's goal of promoting inclusive prosperity in the country.

"We've always looked at UnionBank as very like-minded, and we've always been very proud about being able to provide solutions and partner constantly in being able to digitally transform and always be a step ahead of all digital banking initiatives in the Philippines," said Globe Business Vice President for Enterprise Sales Tanya Gil-Padilla.

"This solution will ensure productivity, save fuel costs, and offer fleet management efficiency," said UnionBank's Chief Security Officer and Head of Security Management Group, retired RAdm. Rommel Galang."In line with the desire to deliver innovative solutions, we stand firm with the Bank's promises to power the future of banking through innovation."
