Esguerra Farm's Berkshire Kurobuta: The Epitome of Exceptional Pork

Delving into the World of Esguerra Farm's Berkshire Kurobuta: The Epitome of Exceptional Pork

Esguerra Farms

Setting foot onto Esguerra Farms & Stud in Lipa City is like entering a different realm, a place where nature's rhythm takes center stage. I've had a lot of farm tours and visits before but I'd have to say that this is probably the most impressive so far. When the gates opened we felt like we were transported to a European countryside or to New Zealand. It was a picturesque, almost postcard-perfect farm with Sir Hermie Esguerra's thoroughbred horses welcoming you into his farm. I will share with you my captivating experience visiting Esguerra Farms and learning how Esguerra Kurobuta is free from chemicals and safe for human consumption. It was indeed an adventure that enlightened me about the beauty of agriculture, the wonders of farm life, and the connection we share with the earth.

Esguerra Farms & Stud

You'll feel like you've been transported to a European farm

Sir Hermie's experience as a hands-on horse breeder led him to decide to extend his farm to accommodate and rear purebred Berkshire pigs imported from UK. He personally makes sure that the pigs are raised properly and fed naturally and that they are well taken cared of sans any stress.

Be A Wais Mom this Upcoming Back-to-School Season

Back-to-school season is a time when we mothers ensure that our children are well-prepared for the upcoming school year. We are the ones who are responsible for the crucial chores and are expected to make 'wais' decisions—from selecting schools to purchasing for supplies—in order to provide our children with the best education possible.

While the next academic year is still a few months away, it is advantageous to begin planning early. This allows you to properly organize your budget, ensure that no vital needs are overlooked, and minimize the stress of the back-to-school rush. Home Credit, a prominent consumer credit firm, presents some 'wais' recommendations for your kids this school year to help you get started.

Start considering the school

School is one of the most crucial things to think about at the start of the school year, especially if your children are transferring from their previous schools. You can begin by outlining your possibilities so that you have more time to evaluate the quality of education and environment to determine whether it will allow your children to grow and develop to their full potential.

Aside from that, this gives you the time to acquire all of the necessary documentation for your children's registration and think about its location, accessibility, safety, and even the fees you will have to pay, if any.

Make a list of the needed school supplies, other essentials

You can make a list of important school supplies for your children based on their school and year level. A list of notes, textbooks, pens, or pencils, as well as backpacks, lunchboxes, and even computers, will ensure that you do not forget anything crucial. It will also assist you in creating and managing your back-to-school budget, since a detailed list allows you to estimate the expenses of each item.

Honoring Everyday Heroes for National Blood Donors Month

Cardinal Santos Medical Center joins the worldwide healthcare community this National Blood Donors Month under the banner of the World Health Organization's "Give blood, give plasma, share life, share often" campaign. The hospital focused on teaching citizens and patients about the need for healthcare institutions to have a constant and sustainable supply of blood donors and blood products in 2023.

The hospital also observed World Blood Donor Day by holding a blood drive on June 14, 2023. Donors from all walks of life came out in force for the appeal. Over 100 members of the local community, hospital employees, and energetic volunteers immediately gave their assistance.

According to Fidel H. Tejada, who heads Cardinal Santos’ Blood Bank, even major Metro Manila hospitals are facing a challenge with the growing demand for blood and blood products. “Most of the big hospitals and Medical Centers in the country, private and government, including specialized hospitals are saturated. Our blood centers like Philippine Red Cross and Philippine Blood Center have a hard time keeping up with the blood needs of all these hospitals. This is the reason why we are doing our part on helping in blood collection in our institution.”
